An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Building Surveyors to join the Peak District National Park Authority and help to maintain and improve its diverse and interesting property portfolio and progress minor capital works.
You will join the Authority at a time of change in how property is managed and will play a key role in ensuring that we achieve our aim of making Assets a cornerstone of how we operate as well as contributing towards the development of the Authority’s Asset Management Plan. The roles will involve working around the National Park and across the unique range of modern and traditional buildings owned by the Authority.
You will ensure that the Authority’s high standards of building conservation best practice are met and the portfolio is efficiently maintained. Working within a small but busy team, you will be a professional Surveyor with a relevant qualification (RICS/CIOB/or construction related Degree or HNC). You will be responsible for the delivery of a focused Building Surveying service potentially including the completion of condition surveys, implementation of maintenance programmes and the management of development projects.
Self-motivated, you must have good organisation and communication skills and be able to demonstrate practical and technical experience in a range of work including all types of modern and traditional construction, condition surveys, preparation of CAD plans, project monitoring and management. The ability to lead projects and manage your own workload and ways of working is essential.
