Senior Building Surveyor

Salary £55,000 per annum plus salary supplement of £4,936
Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week, Monday – Friday)

We are currently seeking for a Senior Building Surveyor to act as lead surveyor in all surveying activities carried out by our asset management department, including tendering for large scale refurbishment and redevelopment of estates.
Mentoring Junior Surveyors and Property Inspectors you will ensure our housing stock is maintained and developed effectively and efficiently. You will also provide qualified and comprehensive advice and support on a range of issues that will ensure effective investment in the property asset portfolio within regulatory constraints i.e. planning applications, building regulations and party wall notices.
Further to this you will carry out property building survey inspections as required, diagnosing all building defects which will include but not limited to, structural repairs, large voids, investment works, disrepair, complaints and other ad hoc building projects.
The successful candidate must have a professional MRICS qualification and a minimum qualification of a HND in a building construction or degree in building surveying. You must also have substantial experience and demonstrable working experience in improvements and planned maintenance. Experience of managing large projects along with consultants and contractors is also required.
This role will involve travel; therefore a full UK driving license is essential. Due to the nature of the role you will be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.
