GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in exclusive partnership with a multi disciplinary Construction practice, recruiting for an experienced part time Architectural Services Bid Writer (20 – 25 hours per week, all is negotiable in terms of start & finish times + NEG on days in the office + some hybrid home working too) to join the companies team of experienced Architects, Building Surveyors, plus Health & Safety Professionals, focusing purely on Architectural Services tenders / bids / proposals.

You will control, compile & lead all Architectural tender bids, putting together winning tender & bid submissions / proposals, that meet the end using customers Architectural needs.

You will win new Architectural Services tender work at the correct agreed margins (% mark up) adding real commercial value to the business & increased market share.

Bid Writer Duties:

• The lead for all architectural services tender bid processes, from initial conception to completion & submission.
• Working in unison with the Senior Management Team & Subject Matter Experts to produce compelling / winning bids for architectural works, working closely / hand in hand with the Architectural practices MD.
• Ensuring price points are right (margins, mark ups, revenue, overheads, materials etc ), quality of submission focused, bids are in line with real achievable scope of Architectural works (timescales, logistically, business capabilities, technical acumen etc ), taking responsibility for the whole end to end Architectural Services Bid process (the go to person for all bids).
• Ensure bids deadlines / set milestones are achieved in OTIF (PQQ’s, expression of intent, RFI’s etc )
• Seek out new tender opportunities for Architectural services (opportunities from various construction frameworks, ensuring the business bids for as many suitable Architecture consultancy projects as possible & within set business parameters.
• Review / analyse bids & tender submission results & report them to the SMT / MD.
• Continuously working on putting together new & improved Architecture works bids, to continue to grow the business & to expand the construction works profile / case studies further.

Attributes:

• Architectural Services Bid Writing experience across various Construction types / Built Environment’s
• Time-served in a comparable Bid Writing opening, working within a Main Contractor, Sub Contractor, Architectural consultancy practice or multi-disciplined consultancy practice.
• Up to date with current Construction legislation, regulations & pricing.
