This role involves conducting surveys across a broad portfolio of buildings and estates, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and fabric assets. Key Responsibilities
Carry out asset surveys in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
Assess and document the condition of mechanical, electrical, and fabric building systems
Identify faults, key asset details, and maintenance requirements using visual inspection and technical understanding
Deliver accurate asset data in line with defined protocols and quality expectations
Work collaboratively with senior project teams, stakeholders, and client representatives
Contribute to project planning, risk identification, and scheduling activities
Support junior surveyors and technicians through mentoring and guidance
Align with internal data and reporting systems to support long-term asset strategy
Candidate Requirements
Experience delivering asset verification, lifecycle assessments, and condition surveys
Background in engineering, facilities management, or building services
Qualified to apprenticeship, HNC/HND level, or equivalent through experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of reporting tools and database technologies
Familiarity with industry maintenance standards such as SFG20, CIBSE, NRM, or Uniclass
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
