Your Next Job What You ll Be Doing
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

• Cost Management: Support the Commercial Manager in tracking project costs, variations, and valuations throughout the refurbishment lifecycle.
• Procurement Assistance: Help procure subcontract packages, issue orders, and assist in cost reporting and forecasting.
• Subcontractor Engagement: Monitor subcontractor accounts, track payments, and support contract administration.
• Project Collaboration: Work alongside the site and project management teams to ensure financial control and commercial efficiency.
• Client & Consultant Liaison: Attend meetings and contribute to maintaining strong client and consultant relationships.
• Reporting: Assist with monthly CVRs and contribute to risk management strategies.

• A degree (or working towards one) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar.
• Experience in a similar Assistant QS role, ideally with a main contractor or refurbishment specialist.
• Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a desire to develop.
• A positive, can-do attitude with a team-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the project location.
