Chartered Building Surveyor Location: Warwickshire / Hybrid Rate: £442.43 per day (Umbrella) Contract: Interim Assignment
A local authority in Warwickshire is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join their Property Services team on an interim basis. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the full range of building surveying functions across the council s commercial property portfolio
Carry out building condition surveys and develop a Planned Property Maintenance (PPM) programme
Manage and prioritise maintenance works
Prepare drawings and work schedules for building projects
Provide project management for small to complex capital works schemes
Prepare future maintenance budgets and liaise with finance teams
Support feasibility studies and deliver improvement and investment plans
Essential Criteria:
MRICS qualified Chartered status is essential
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in building surveying, property maintenance, and asset management
Strong technical knowledge of property maintenance planning, building regulations, and construction methods
Ability to produce technical drawings and job-specific schedules
Proven experience managing a range of projects from concept to completion
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
