Job Title: Building Surveyor Location: Sevenoaks (preferred) / London
About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Surveyor to join our team, primarily based in our Sevenoaks office with opportunities to work on-site across London and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in building surveys, report writing, and contract administration, particularly focused on high-rise residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct building surveys on high-rise residential properties, including detailed inspections and report writing.
Assist with the delivery of building safety case works, including the preparation of building safety case reports.
Support the administration of contracts and act as an Employer’s Agent for remediation works.
Liaise closely with clients, residents, contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth progression of projects.
Develop an understanding of the Building Safety Act requirements and apply guidance from the regulator in collaboration with project team members.
Gain experience in building pathology, diagnostics, and reporting on various building types, including residential, educational, and healthcare facilities.
Support the preparation of key building information and compliance trackers using appropriate software (training provided).
Assist in the tender process and procurement of consultants and contractors.
Work closely with the Team Leader/Delivery Director on project delivery, providing essential support in all aspects of the building surveyor role.

Skills, Knowledge, and Development:
Strong interest in building surveying, with a focus on high-rise residential properties.
Willingness to learn and develop skills in building safety case preparation, contract administration, and client liaison.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to take minutes and understand the context of discussions.
Valid UK driving license required.
