My client is a specialist RICS commercial property management company with an extensive portfolio of commercial real estate assets throughout the United Kingdom.
They are looking for a Senior Commercial Property Management Surveyor to join our fast-growing company with ambitious expansion plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own varied portfolio of high-value commercial assets all over the UK and work alongside various notable clients.
The role is based in Surrey, where the Head Office is located.
There they have support teams including Property Management Accountants, Facilities Management Teams & Office Support helping manage properties alongside our Property Managers.
Key responsibilities include day-to-day management of a portfolio of commercial assets (6-8 which includes retail units, Offices and a Shopping centre) in accordance with management agreements, managing & developing client relationships, working closely with Building Managers, Facilities Managers, Accounts, Graduates & Contractors, understanding the principles of lease structure and interpretation, and preparing & administering service charge budgets & reconciliations in accordance with RICS guidelines.
They are seeking a real team player that is confident in advising clients and who can use their initiative to solve problems.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate wide experience in the commercial property management sector including client contact and responsibility.
You will be expected to travel within the UK and be able to rapidly assume responsibility/ownership for your instructions.
However, the current requirement would be managing a portfolio in Guildford, other towns in Surrey also a shopping centre in Maidstone.
Other key skills and qualifications a candidate should possess are:
Excellent reporting and negotiation skills Up to date knowledge of commercial property legislation 2 years + experience as a commercial property manager in a senior role handling portfolios and clients Good understanding of property accountancy Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience using and adapting to market leading commercial property management & CAFM software packages MRICS qualification is preferred but not essential Driving license & vehicle will be required
Salary up to 55k + some great benefits such as Flexible/Hybrid working, 4pm finish on Fridays and 25 days a year annual leave.
