Contract opportunity for a property and facilities professional with public sector experience
Your new company This is a fantastic contract opportunity to join one of the Southwest’s largest public sector employers, leading their property and facilities team for a period of time until a substantive solution is reached. You will work for an organisation that provide a wide range of services to over 300,000 people, employing over 2,700 people, in order to deliver services of the highest quality.
Your new role You will directly lead and manage an estates facilities operation based in Plymouth which includes building surveying, engineering, property compliance and property records as well as other support services. Your role will involve the daily management of staff, as well as service-related budgets. You will enable delivery of a planned maintenance programme, which includes carbon management and sustainability strategies. As part of your role, you will ensure that appropriate resources are in place to enable the delivery of these strategies.
What you’ll need to succeed In order to succeed in this interim position you will need to have previous experience leading a large team who are responsible for providing maintenance and facilities service for a large portfolio of operational buildings.
What you’ll get in return In return, you will be able to take advantage of a hybrid and flexible working option, which will require 2 / 3 days per week in Plymouth alongside working from home. You’ll be offered an initial 3-month contract, which is highly likely to extend beyond this point, alongside a flexible and fair daily rate, paid on a weekly basis.
