I am working with a growing business who have projects across the North West, Yorkshire, North East areas, valued at £10k-£1m. Projects consist of HMO Conversions, commercial conversions, buy to let and mixed use developments.
The company have a healthy pipeline of work for the year and as such, they are recruiting for a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis to manage the delivery of projects. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to grow with the company into a more senior leadership position.
The successful candidate must have a good network of trades, subcontractors etc across the North West and (preferably) the Yorkshire region too. You must also be capable of managing these teams across various projects.
Your duties will include:
Leading the management of various capital refurbishment, extension conversion projects ranging in value from £10k to £1.5m
Management of budgets and estimating costs
Ability to help build the project management team and be a leader as more people join the team.
Assist the Director with the pre-acquisition construction and property due diligence including identifying costs of refurbishment, necessary surveys and reports required.
Procurement of Surveyor’s reports to obtain funding approvals including commercial negotiation of content.
Development and management of supply chain members, principal contractors, subcontractors, and consultants in order to achieve set objectives to quality and cost.
Leading the main contract tendering processes, contract inclusions, procurement methodology, contract administration and building contract content. Including advanced commercial procurement routes
Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to provide appropriate reports, ensuring milestone feedback and meeting overall KPI objectives.
Assisting the of Director in the execution of special projects
The successful candidate must have commercial awareness relevant to JCT contracts, and ideally experience within refurbishment of HMOs, commercial properties, and Social Housing is advantageous.
