Project Manager Construction – Residential

Ridgeway & Co are working with an established and reputable main contractor who are seeking a Project Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of a residential project in Leatherhead paying up to £85,000 PA.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced construction professional to join a growing contractor with a strong pipeline of residential work across the East of England.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish.

• Coordinate teams of subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site staff.

• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.

• Monitor project progress and report on key milestones, risks, and performance metrics.

• Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the internal team.

• Handle contract administration and cost control in collaboration with quantity surveyors.

• Problem-solve issues proactively to keep the project on track.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations, and contract management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

• Proficient in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Asta Powerproject, or similar).

• SMSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid qualification (required).

• Degree or relevant qualification in Construction Management or similar (preferred).
