We are recruiting for a Qualified Quantity Surveyor to join an expanding business with offices in Yorkshire and the North East. This is a busy, hands-on role working alongside another QS.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting feasibility studies to determine project viability
• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Managing the tender process, selecting contractors, and negotiating contracts
• Monitoring, controlling, and reporting on project costs to prevent budget overruns
• Valuing completed work and approving payments to subcontractors and suppliers
• Managing contractual risks, variations, and disputes
• Liaising with architects, engineers, and clients
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and building regulations
• Advising on sustainability, life cycle costs, and value management

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Proactive, motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
