Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for a role with real long-term progression

We re working with a specialist lift conversion contractor based in Essex, who partner closely with local authorities and social housing associations across the region. Due to consistent growth and a strong project pipeline, they re now looking to bring an experienced QS into the team with a clear path to become the Head of Commercial.

The Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you ll manage the full commercial lifecycle across lift installation and conversion projects in residential and public sector buildings. You ll work closely with the contracts team and clients, ensuring commercial performance is maximised and projects stay on track.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents

• Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts

• Overseeing valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Working closely with local authority clients

• Leading cost-control initiatives and reporting to senior management

• Playing a key role in shaping commercial strategy as you progress

What We re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in housing or building services

• Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and social housing frameworks

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Ambition you re ready to step up into a leadership role
