An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team supporting the delivery of large-scale capital projects across the North West. This is a fantastic chance to play a key role in commercially managing complex construction contracts while developing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
Working on high-profile projects, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors and supply chain partners to ensure commercial success, effective risk management and value for money throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of construction and works contracts
Administration of contracts throughout the project lifecycle
Managing early warnings, compensation events and change control processes
Cost forecasting, valuations, payments and final accounts
Supporting contract negotiations and dispute resolution activities
Identifying and mitigating commercial and business risks
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Maintaining high-quality commercial and contractual records
Providing commercial guidance and support across project teams
Supporting senior commercial leadership with key project activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification/experience
Strong understanding of quantity surveying practices across the full project lifecycle
Experience administering and managing construction contracts
Knowledge of NEC contracts or other standard forms of construction contract
Strong commercial negotiation and problem-solving skills
Experience managing commercial aspects of projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Full UK Driving Licence
