We are working with a growing Multi-Disciplinary Design & Surveying Consultancy based near Ely, seeking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to support continued expansion across commercial, industrial, and specialist sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or chartered Building Surveyor to lead on a diverse portfolio of projects. You ll collaborate closely with clients, working across all stages of design, delivery, and compliance to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed building surveys, identify defects, and provide remedial advice with cost implications
Lead design and specification work for refurbishments, new builds, and remedial schemes
Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
Advise clients on legislation, building regulations, health & safety and compliance matters
Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout project lifecycle
Support business development activities, contributing to bids and building a professional network
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Building Surveyor
Strong technical background with hands-on project delivery experience
Chartered or working towards MRICS / MCIOB (preferred but not essential)
Confident leading client meetings, managing expectations, and delivering strategic advice
Knowledge of building regulations, construction standards, and relevant legislation
Competent using surveying and design software, with excellent reporting and documentation skills
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently or lead a small team
Full UK driving licence willingness to travel locally for projects
