My client are a globally recognised multidisciplinary consultancy, who are looking to grow their Glasgow team. If you are a chartered surveyor, at Senior level, looking to get into a company that will give you access to a diverse and exciting portfolio of projects, this may be the role for you. You will be working as part of a tight knit but growing Building Consultancy team. Your key role will include:

• Assisting in the successful implementation and delivery of professional and contract building surveying within the Building Surveying Team
• Delivering Technical Due Diligence and Capital Expenditure reporting
• Working alongside Project Management, Architectural and M&E teams
• Make strong, independent assessments and negotiations
• Ensure that long standing client relationships are maintained
• Having exceptional commercial awareness and the ability to identify business development opportunities

Projects will include:

• Building surveys for investment or occupational purposes
• Drafting of Standard Contract forms and collating project documentation
• Contract administration
• Preparation of specification and schedules of work
• Defect analysis
• Project Management of new build and fit out projects
• Preparation of Schedule of Dilapidations and negotiating on behalf of Landlord & Tenant

What you’ll need to succeed
My client is looking for an individual who is in equal parts a team player and a self starter, with sound commercial knowledge and industry experience. You must be a member of the RICS, and be familiar with the processes involved with project delivery from inception to completion.
