Global Building Surveyor consultancy job in Cardiff
Are you a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in working on commercial educational estates and student accommodation? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a global consultancy looking to grow their office in Cardiff.
I am recruiting for a leading property consultancy firm, providing expert advice and services to clients across the UK. My client specialises in the education sector, delivering high-quality projects for universities, colleges, schools and student housing providers.
As a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Managing building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidations, contract administration, project management and technical due diligence.Managing the client relationship on a project by project basis with a focus on Net Zero schemes. Contract management including JCT & NEC. Providing professional advice on property condition, defects, maintenance and repair strategies, statutory compliance and sustainability issues.Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.Leading and mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development.Contributing to business development and marketing activities as the organisation is looking to grow their presence in South Wales. To be successful in this role, you will need:
A degree in building surveying or construction management.A chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).A minimum of five years of post-qualification experience in building surveying, preferably in the education sector.A proven track record of delivering complex maintenance projects on time and within budget.Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South Wales.
