This role is to join a specialist building services design consultancy, projects include commercial, education, industrial, leisure, galleries and a range of overseas and public projects. They provide a full electrical design and supervision service from their North London offices.

Responsibilities

The senior electrical design engineer s role will be to carry out electrical designs and includes the following responsibilities.

• Working as part of a design team delivering detail electrical designs on a wide variety of projects
• Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems
• Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, contractors and external project teams
• Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
• Carry out condition and feasibility surveys.
• Provide project management and administration duties and to monitor design team.
• Undertake fee assessments and providing fee bids for projects.
• Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
• Carry out quality inspections of projects.
• Oversee junior members of staff.

Experience & Qualifications

• A minimum of HNC in electrical design or building services
• 5 years experience of building services design
• Experience of producing detailed specifications and design calculations
• Production of tender packages and tender analysis of returned tender packages.
• Full UK driving licence.
