About the Role

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a passion for refurbishment projects? Join a well-established main contractor known for delivering high-quality education, residential, commercial, and public building projects across London and the Southeast. With project values ranging from £500k to £12m, you ll play a pivotal role in the commercial management of diverse and impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee JCT and NEC refurbishment projects with values ranging from £500k to £12m.
• Manage all aspects of the commercial process from start to finish, ensuring project budgets and timelines are met.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior surveyors, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Prepare accurate cost reports, valuations, and final accounts in line with project milestones.
• Identify, manage, and resolve project variations while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven Experience: Minimum 8 years experience post-degree in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• Refurbishment Expertise: Extensive experience managing refurbishment projects within a main contractor environment.
• Project Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects from start to finish.
• Loyalty and Progression: A stable career history with a commitment to long-term professional growth.
• Contract Knowledge: Proficient in JCT and NEC contracts.
• Team Management: Experience mentoring and managing junior surveyors.
• Organisational Skills: Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong commercial awareness.
