We have partnered design-led residential developer who is entering an exciting phase of strategic growth, expanding its portfolio of high-quality, characterful schemes across the South West.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a central role in shaping the technical function as the business grows, overseeing the full technical delivery of bespoke developments.

With the company expanding, this position offers significant headroom: the successful candidate will have a clear pathway into a more senior leadership role as the Commercial team develops.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the residential development or housebuilding sector
• Strong background managing the full commercial lifecycle from feasibility and cost planning through to final accounts.
• Experience working on smaller, high-quality, design-led or complex schemes is highly advantageous.
• Confident in procurement strategy, negotiation, contract management and subcontractor performance oversight.
• Strong understanding of build costs, market rates and supply chain trends, particularly within bespoke or high-spec housing.
• Ability to balance commercial rigour with design intent and quality requirements.
• Excellent numeracy, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence and collaborate across technical, construction, design and external partners.
• Ambition to grow into a more senior leadership role as the commercial team develops.
